Thesis Title: Structure-Function Studies of the Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor Type 6 (mGluR6) and Comparison with Rhodopsin

Graduation Date: 2011

PhD Advisor: Dr Judith Klein-Seetharaman

Kalyan's research efforts were on investigating the structure-function relationships in metabotropic glutamate receptor type 6 (mGluR6) a G-protein coupled receptor selectively expressed in the retina using both computational and biophysical tools. His thesis works involved identifying novel orthosteric and allosteric ligands for mGluR6 and investigation of their effects on mGluR6 structure and function.
